
Peter was hired as the third full-time Director of the Catholic Youth Organization in July 2010. He returns to the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas from the state of Washington, where he has spent his career in college athletics.
Peter was born in Des Moines, Iowa but spent many of his formative years in the Kansas City area before returning to Des Moines as a teenager. He attended Benedictine College in Atchison, KS where he graduated with a degree in Business (Marketing) and a minor in Theology. After Benedictine, Peter went on to receive his Masters in Education from the University of Washington with an emphasis in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership. With internship experience that included several college athletic departments, he spent 2007-2010 at Eastern Washington University where he was the Athletic Business Manager.
Peter and his wife Tessa currently have one daughter, Emma, and look forward to raising their family in the Kansas City area. They have enjoyed involvment with youth ministry programs at their former parish and are excited to become involved in the local Catholic community. Peter is a lifelong participant and fan of athletics at every level, where he has seen the tremendous impact a Catholic environment can have on youth athletes.

Becky Skaggs began working in the CYO office having already accumulated years of experience with the organization. A mother of three children who participated in CYO, Becky has been to countless games and volunteered in gyms and concession stands alongside fellow parents. She brings 25 years of administrative experience to her role as Administrative Assistant, including several years working in area youth sports. She received her Associate of Arts degree from Kansas City Kansas Community College.
Becky and her husband Jim both grew up in Kansas City, KS and attended Bishop Ward High School. They are proud parents of Laura, Ben and Katie. The family are parishioners at Saint Joseph parish in Shawnee.
