Catholic Youth Organization of Johnson & Wyandotte Counties

 

The Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) believes that every child deserves the opportunity to participate in youth sports. With this in mind, we are introducing the Participant Scholarship Program for children and families in need of assistance to defer the cost of registration and fees for our activities. Though these fees are necessary to maintaining and thriving as a Catholic youth sports organization, we are thrilled to offer scholarships that can allow more children to participate and enjoy CYO sports.

In order to apply for a Participant Scholarship, a parent/guardian of the participant must submit the following:

    1. A completed "Participant Scholarship Application". Available by clicking here.
    2. A signed "Scholarship Recommendation Form" to be completed by your parish Athletic Director. This form is available by clicking here.

These forms must be submitted to the CYO Office no later than the following deadline (listed by sport):

A parent/guardian must complete both forms and obtain the appropriate signatures. In addition, each student applying must commit to attending at least 80% of all practices and games, while parents must attend the mandatory Parent Like a Champion meeting before the child's season. All applications will be reviewed and scholarships will be awarded based on need. Please be aware that not all applicants will be awarded scholarships, as the program does have limited funding. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the CYO Office at 913-384-7377.
